Christian Kennedy is an accomplished risk management, compliance, and communication professional with demonstrated experience in regulatory compliance, risk strategy, business process engineering, information security and technology. She has worked at Fortune 500 companies, including biotechnology and medical device industries, entertainment companies, technology consultancy firms, and tourism institutions, among others.
In 2022, Christian was invited to join Wolfspeed, a global semiconductor company based in the Research Triangle Park area of Durham, North Carolina. Kennedy currently serves as the Director of Information Security – Governance, Risk and Compliance. In this strategic role, she is responsible for the continued development and maturation of the GRC program.
Christian’s educational background includes a Master of Law Studies from Seattle University School of Law in Risk Management and Compliance and an undergraduate degree in Communications from the Edward R. Murrow College of Communications at Washington State University. In 2022, Kennedy was awarded the Compliance with a Conscience medal of honor from Seattle University School of Law where she now teaches the foundations of privacy law as an adjunct professor.
As a valued professional, Kennedy has presented at conferences and industry events and often guest lectures at different academic institutions.
