Mike is currently Executive Vice President of Logistics Manufacturing Services, Inventory Management Solutions and Latin America for DSV, one of the world’s largest third-party logistics organizations. Mike was previously The Global Head of Logistics and Manufacturing for Panalpina, which was acquired by DSV in 2019. Mike is originally from the electronics industry where he started his career in process, production and industrial engineering, and made his way through management positions to become the Head of The European Business for Celestica and was part of their IPO in the late 1990s which at the time was the largest ever technology IPO. Mike found his way into third party logistics by becoming the President of Technology for Exel, which was subsequently acquired by DHL. Mike has undertaken advisory and consultancy roles in setting up and optimizing supply chains and manufacturing in Asia, Europe and The Americas and still participates on a number of advisory boards.
Mike is also Co-Founder and Industry Director of The PARC Institute for Manufacturing, Inventory and Logistics at Cardiff University, United Kingdom, where he is Visiting Professor. The PARC Institute has a reputation for inventory & data analytics, research into the future of supply chains and manufacturing as well as setting up The Remakerspace, a non-profit service dedicated to advancement of circular supply chains and sustainability.
Mike holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering and a Masters in Business Administration from Cardiff University
