Kurt Herremans is program director automotive at imec. Kurt is a key driver behind the imec industry call out on Automotive Chiplets and initialization of a pre-competitive research program on them.
Founded in 1984, imec quickly made its name as the leading research hub for advanced CMOS scaling. Part of imec research includes CMOS scaling through advanced packaging and 2D, 2.5D and 3D integration. Imec hosts more than 5,500 expert scientists from over 95 countries, and we have an ecosystem of more than 600 world-leading industry partners and a global academic network.
Prior to joining imec Kurt was principal engineer at Intel working on multiple generations of automotive SoCs and segment specific AI accelerators. For his work on Automotive SoC designs Kurt received the Intel Achievement Award in 2019.
Kurt Herremans holds a Master of Science degree from the University UCLL Leuven.
