The future of computing hardware is at an inflection point, driven in large part by the advances in Artificial Intelligence (AI). While these advances have been remarkable, hardware challenges are emerging due to the rapidly increasing demands of new AI models in terms of performance, power and memory. 1. Novel Architectures and Devices (AM Session: 10:30am-12:30pm)
This session explores novel ideas at the device-level and at the circuit architecture level for optimizing performance, power, data movement and storage. Some key innovative elements include novel memory devices and novel architectures that go beyond the traditional Von Neumann paradigm.
2. Quantum Sensing and Computing (PM Session: 2:00pm-4:00pm)
There is much excitement about the emergence of potentially disruptive quantum technologies for sensing and computing. While quantum devices are still limited by technology to a few niche application areas, the pace of innovation has accelerated dramatically. This session will track progress and chart future directions of quantum’s impact on the future of computing.
