SEMI
Gilroy, CA, United States
Jamie began his career in Semiconductor Manufacturing with KLA in 1998 after graduating from Carnegie Mellon University. His team leveraged state of the art Machine Learning and travelled the world helping Engineers optimize yield at Intel, TSMC, IBM and many other fabs. He then traded his bunny suit for work boots and a hard hat, joining Akeena Solar in 2007 for a decade-long journey in renewable energy. During this time, he was fortunate to be involved in many pioneering efforts across the world, including the residential PPA, micro-inverter technology, innovative solar modules and financial models. Despite a genuine passion for renewables, he couldn't refuse an offer to join Intel in 2017 for the next chapter of his career in AI and Hyperscale Data Centers. At Intel, Jamie partnered with Google, Microsoft, AWS, Meta, Salesforce and others as Director of Business Development and then Director of Sustainability for Intel's Data Center and AI Business Unit. After 6 years of immersion in the rapidly growing world of Deep Learning and AI at Intel, Google recruited Jamie to help with supply chain sustainability and renewable energy strategy, providing an opportunity to partner with SEMI and its members on innovative programs to decarbonize the SEMI supply chain. He now works as a sustainability and renewable energy consultant for SEMI under Mousumi Bhat and is thrilled to be again participating in SEMICON West!
