Jade Chan (she/her) is the Program Assistant for Children's Environmental Health Network (CEHN) where she provides support in CEHN’s programs, events, and administrative tasks. Additionally, she supports the America The Beautiful For All (ATB4A) steering committee and workgroup co-leads in advancing the policy agenda.
Previously, she was one of the 2023 Children’s Environmental Health and Healthy Housing Summer Fellows. Her projects included developing and launching a plan to gather stories about the impact of healthy housing and/or unsafe housing conditions as well as creating video abstracts from research articles and resource tools such as the Racism that Upends the Cradle. She is a graduate of San Francisco State University and received her Bachelor’s in Public Health in 2023. She grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area and witnessed many environmental injustices that affected my community. In the past, she has worked with the California Department of Public Health in the Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Branch and the Alameda Healthy Homes. She is passionate about making a difference in marginalized communities by being an advocate for them in the public health space and using research and health communication to reduce health disparities.
