Erik Koepf is the R&D Technical Manager at DuPont’s Silicon Valley Technology Center in Sunnyvale, California. Erik holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Delaware and has authored 20 peer reviewed publications and several patent applications in a career spanning academic R&D, systems engineering, program management, product commercialization, and education.
In his current role, Erik leads R&D teams to develop materials and pursue applications for Silicon Valley’s cutting-edge technology companies, in areas such as healthcare and wearable medical technology, thermal management, vehicle electrification, flexible circuitry, consumer electronics, and high-speed communication.
Erik enjoys teaching his kids how to surf and golf in his free time, as well as developing and teaching materials science and engineering courses as an Associate Faculty in Workforce Development at Evergreen Valley College. Most recently, Erik has found a new hobby in long distance trail run racing.
