Ajay Gupta

Ajay Gupta is currently a Postdoctoral Associate at MIT in the Materials Research Laboratory. He completed a Ph.D. in the Golisano Institute for Sustainability at Rochester Institute of Technology where he studied rare earth metal recovery from industrial and electronic waste. Before that he was running his own research firm (EROI Energy Advisors) which conducted research of energy return on investment (EROI) of fossil fuels and renewable energy. With formal training in Natural Resource Management and Environmental Sciences, his research focus remains interdisciplinary in nature.
