Fernando is a Senior Vice President and Team Lead International Trade and Investment with the Arizona Commerce Authority where he has maintained a project portfolio in the semiconductor, automotive, battery, and advanced manufacturing industries. Fernando leads the Arizona Commerce Authority’s Foreign Direct Investment portfolio and oversees the international strategy focusing on FDI, Trade, and diplomatic efforts in six different markets including Mexico (Mexico City and Chihuahua), Taiwan, South Korea, Europe (Office Based in Germany), and Israel. Fernando's focus is to grown and strengthen Arizona's economy strategically following a three-pronged approach: attract, expand, and create. Attract out-of-state companies to establish operations in Arizona; work with existing companies to expand their business in Arizona and beyond; and help entrepreneurs create new Arizona businesses in targeted industries.
