Alan Aronoff is Founder and CEO of Tartan Silicon Systems, a company focused on improving semiconductor yield and reliability for its customers by applying machine learning to chip manufacturing and test data. He has over 40 years experience in semiconductor and the semiconductor Intellectual Property business. Prior to founding Tartan, he was responsible for foundry and chip product engineering at Imagination Technologies. He was the co-founder of Key ASIC, a public ASIC company, and responsible for manufacturing and marketing. He was Vice President of Synopsys’ Silicon Library Business Unit which was sold to ARM, and he was General Manager of NEC Electronics US ASIC Business Unit. He was a technical founding member of Mostek Corporation’s ASIC Business. He holds a Masters in Electrical Engineering from Southern Methodist University and Bachelors degree with University Honors in Electrical and Biomedical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University. He holds a patent for in-chip monitoring of device aging.
