George Ramsey, III, is a seasoned leader who inspires employees to invest in the mission, vision, and goals of their organization. His leadership as a talent acquisition and leader development professional spans more than 20 years across government, corporate, and nonprofit sectors. George has an extensive education in the areas of talent management, organizational development, and improving the complexities that plagued organizational culture.
George is a combat veteran who served for 30-years in the U.S. Army as a Combat Engineer, Military Police Officer, and Army Recruiter. He officially retired from Active-Duty service in 2016. Throughout his military career he held numerous leadership positions and earned multiple military awards for his leadership and personal and professional achievements.
George obtained a Bachelor of Public Administration and the Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership. He is currently completing an MBA in Human Resources Management while simultaneously completing a Doctorate in Organizational Change and Leadership from the University of Southern California.
George is an exceptional HR leader and is currently employed at Micron Technology as the Sr. Program Manager for Veteran Outreach and Diversity Recruiting. In this role, he oversees all Veterans’ hiring and organization initiatives and leads diversity conventions and recruiting for minority serving and Hispanic serving institutions. From the start, he began developing a long-term plan to evaluate the organizations current veteran talent growth gap and identifying challenges and solutions which affect Veteran hiring and underrepresented groups.
Since 2017, George has served as a mentor through a national nonprofit to support transitioning servicemembers from all branches of the military. In this capacity, he mentors veterans on their path towards fulfilling and long-term careers after their military service. He is a superb facilitator and public speaker. He is a skilled practitioner who holds certifications in Change Management, 360 assessments, Lean Six Sigma (Black Belt), Myer-Briggs (MBTI) and Emotional Intelligence, Executive and Advance Teambuilding, and other leadership development specific programs.
Often asked to speak on leadership topics, George regularly speaks of his leadership philosophy, “The Fruit of Success,” serving as the moral compass that directs one’s ability to reach their personal and professional goals.
