Marco Chisari serves as the Executive Vice President and head of the Samsung Semiconductor Innovation Center (SSIC), as well as the head of the U.S. Foundry Business for Samsung Semiconductor, Inc.
With over 25 years of experience, Mr. Chisari has built a distinguished career at global Fortune 500 companies, such as Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Credit Suisse, Mubadala, GLOBALFOUNDRIES, JPMorgan, and STMicroelectronics. His expertise spans investment banking and the buyside, with a particular focus on the semiconductor industry.
Most recently, Mr. Chisari held the position of Managing Director, Global Head of Semiconductor and Mobility Investment Banking at Bank of America Merrill Lynch. In this role, he advised on significant transactions, including AMD’s $35 billion acquisition of Xilinx, Analog Devices’ $22 billion acquisition of Maxim, Intel’s $9 billion sale of its NAND business to SK Hynix, Infineon’s $10 billion acquisition of Cypress, AMS’s $4.6 billion acquisition of Osram, and Marvell’s acquisitions of Aquantia and Avera. He also managed numerous debt financing, IPO, and equity-linked transactions. Prior to his tenure at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Mr. Chisari was the head of mergers and acquisitions at Credit Suisse in San Francisco, where he worked on a variety of semiconductor and software transactions. Earlier in his career, while at Mubadala, he played a pivotal role in the investment and formation of GLOBALFOUNDRIES from its inception.
