Various industries including Semiconductors are challenged with limited water supply and treatment of complex pollutants including emerging contaminants like PFAS. More effective and less expensive water treatment processes will result in greater if not complete water reuse. OXbyEL has designed and tested an electrolyzer that completely mineralizes pollutants in water and wastewater, including PFAS. Application of our electrochemical technology has not only effectively resulted in treatment of the EPA regulated PFAS constituents, but also all mineralization of short chain compounds and PFAS precursors which become more of an issue in Europe. OXbyEL now combines the oxidative power of our patented electrolyzer technology with a full treatment train approach that takes advantage of combinative membrane processes while eliminating costly conventional treatment steps commonly found in wastewater treatment. This results in a more cost- effective treatment that also accommodates difficult to treat constituents like PFAS compounds. OXbyEL seeks partnering relationships with Semiconductors who have problematic waste streams and an urgent need for water reuse.
